Worthless charity - Autism speaks

I have once in a while posted about mis management and misappropriation and corruption in charities I come across. Usually iits something I just come across, in the news etc.

Now with autism speaks that is not the case, its personal. My son has had pretty severe autism which we are glad to note is becoming less and less of an issue each day, because without us being aware of it, we are turning into helicopter parents. Like when he's eating, we keep an eye on him and for example, we move the plate before his elbow swings down knocking it over etc etc.

So Autism speaks (AS) has emerged as the premier autism based charity in the world. The brief history - It was started by Bob Wright, CEO of GE/NBC. The inspiration was his grandson Christian, whose mother - and Bob's daughter katie wright, wants nothing to do with AS. The reason is this. AS is a huge large scale charity whose pirmary purpose is to divert money from biomedical autism research and vaccine based causation theory into any thing else. AS also threatens the smaller Austim societies into submission threatening legal actions etc for providing biomedical and other research information to people with autism.

The scary part is how effective biomedical interventions are in the treatment of autism, and the earlier you start the better it works. The underlying premise that biomed works uses the fact that vaccines with mercury are the cause, and that being the CEO of glaxosmithkline is unpalatable to Bob Wright. Ergo millions from donors will be divereted away from what can expose his cash cow.

Anyway autism speaks lies.

You know i was wondering about that. I have 2 cousins with severe autism and the local gas stations around here are selling the one dollar things at the register. I have always wondered about how much of that money actually goes to funding help for autism. I dont have a problem with organizations gather money to help a cause, but when the funds dont go to what its suppose to, I think you end up hurting other people who are ACTUALLY trying to help and make a difference. The study that vaccines with mercury cause autism was discredited as fraudulent. However, once on the internet it never goes away. Vaccines have been made that way for a long time. Far longer that the autism outbreak. What is newer are all of the chemicals in our food supply, the pesticides and other hormones in food. You donot have the autism issue in under developed countries that get vaccinations but do not have all the chemicals in the food and packaging.

The chemicals and hormones have been shown to interfere with fetus development. Seems the autism problem started after these chemicals became widespread in our food, environment and packaging of foods and beverages.

What is also missed is that autism is from birth. The vaccines come later in life. The mental problems are there from early development die to the crap in all our food.

We must consider the lack of nutrition. Most processed foods are lacking in nutrition. Lack of B vitamins is a big issue with brain function. Today you have mothers who feed the babies soy and no meat. The misguided belief that no meat or real milk is better is wrong. Mankind is a meat eater. We are supposed to have real milk. A breast does not put forth soy milk.

Holyfighter117: Autism speaks does research into causes of autism other than mercury and treatments other than those that involve removal of mercury.

Vaccines are given @ birth adidas guy, and @ 3 months and @ 1 year and @ 18 months and more if you happen to be unfortunate enough to travel out of the US.
And yes vaccines have been discounted as the cause of autism by research done by the pharmaceutical industry. Gee what a surprise.

As much as there is "discounting" there are some really prominent people who still think vaccines cause autism. Check out generationrescue.org.

If you walked into a doctors office as your kid was getting diagnosed with autism if the mom says I ate tons of fish when pregnant guess what they would say ... oops you gave this kid autism with all that mercury in that fish you ate. Except vaccines had nearly 30 times the mercury per vaccine as compared to a lb of tuna. You say you got autism from any source of mercury other than vaccines you would be treated like you have been hit by a meteor loaded with mercury and they would detox you and chelate you like you were infused with that molten metal guy of Terminator 2.

Sorry source of mercury is what they want to divert away from the underlying cause ... AKA divert blame.

right on. with your work buddha, your son will be just fine. autism is a unique animal. certain ways you must do everything. good thing is once you get into the habit it comes as second nature. idk your sons name, but i am assured he will thrive in life

When the establishment is wrong, its not advisable to be right. You know when cigarettes were linked to cancer - sometime in the 30's. You know when tobacco companies admitted cigarettes cause cancer - well we're still waiting, and now imagine if cigarette companies controlled the diagnosis and treatment of cancer ... yea that's what autism is. To cap it off, its 1 in 88 that gets it, not all ...
