Kawasaki versys, kawasaki ninka650r, klr650, vstrom, vfr, f4I, fz8, fz1, there are tons of bikes that fit the bill. And cheap too.

just stumbled upon an mc-usa review, comparing bmw f800, triumph street triple, and fz8.
They actually gave the win to the triumph, for smoothness. (and overall win, too!)

I think I wont be able to make any kind of sane new bike decision, until my 675 lust wears off.

"sadly".. it would actually fit my needs I think. it's sooo smooth. no vibes. but my wrists hurt after 15 mins. I'd trade one set of medical issues for another. sigh...
