They have. The z1000.

There is also the Gezzi-Brian Kimera of a similar green. You don't see many of those around though.

i hav to go with johnla on this one. that is a swet looking bike. ust be europan or something. i like the way the v-twin is. it makes it look even cooler that way.

Check out Moto Guzzi's.  They have the twins mounted that way.  Those are available in the states.  Gezzi-Brian is either not available here or just very rare.  I think Gezzi-Brian is associated with Moto Guzzi though

Gezzi-Brians are basically custom-made near Lecco, in northen Italy. Like 70-cam said, they are based on Guzzi engines, but everything else is different. They are also develping a new superbike for Guzzi, the MGS01, which looks supercool.
