We went to the Seattle MC Show on Friday.  Here are a few pictures.  (Excuse my tastes.) They had the GS500F but I didn't take any pictures of it.  SOS.

Thanks for posting  :thumb:

The cafe racers are too cool.  That Thruxton is quickly climbing the list of bikes I like :)

Good Work, my friend!   :thumb:

You and I have similar tastes, judging by the quantity of pics of certain bikes:  The Thruxton and T100, the 952 Norton, the CB400F, and I've never seen a Bultaco Metralla I didn't like!  Cafe racers forever!!

PS.  Did Ducati show the "retro" concept bikes that were introduced at the Milan show?  Stunning!!

Did Suzuki have the 650 V-Strom there?  My dealer expects his in January.

Yes they did and we both sat on it.  I would have taken a picture had I known you were interested.   :bs:

It was pretty nice. Somehow it looked a little smaller than the 1000. I'm probably just imagining it. It looks like one of those "buy a Suzuki and see the world" kind of bikes.

I also sat on the Burgman 650. What a great perch for my wide-ass. Now that I'm older and could give a shaZam! about what others think, I find it kind of cool.  Am I alone in this?

The CW show is headed for Chicago about the same time the V-Strom is expected to hit the showrooms.  You're probably right about its size-- the V-S1000 has a 4" longer wheelbase than the SV1000.  I would believe that Suz would keep the 650's dimensions closer to the SV to accomodate smaller riders, and as a clear choice between the two sizes.  Suzuki's new website design doesn't work on my computer, so I don't have the specs in front of me to examine.

I like the Burgman 650, but the price ($7598) turns me off.  The pushbuton shifting is cool.
