Damn...Makes the Boss Hoss look small.

BTW...Not sure why, but I always seem to find Boss Hoss' either in Florida or Texas.  None in Ohio.

What's up with the note at the end saying the owner isn't going to sell it at any price?!?! That's just weird. Did they just want a brag piece...

So does the tire only last one ride? I mean a v10 through 1 tire has got to be ridiculous.

It's not going to be sold to a beginner at any price.

Which is why he won't sell it to a beginner at any price! Which I don't know what his definition of a beginner is?

i wont live long enough to see enough money to buy one. nor would i want one. torque on one of those is insane. my body cannot handle. it. a hoss is easy to keep up. but hte torque is hard to control if not ready for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=DJS2cthIoFg&NR=1

tbh i would too. i priced a viper engine and trans. around 10 grand. then theres the electronics. i could get the electronics plus hte paddle shifter trans. ( dual clutch) and engine a v8 out of dwights wrecked maserati cambiocorsa for 8. but stll 8 grand is alot,ALOT of coin to drop. BUT the viper engine. is derived from the ram truck v10 which was cast iron block. this one is aluminum all the way. its not that heavy. well shes no lightwweight. but watcha  viperbike rev and you will see teh torque twist.

Note #1:

"The current owner has invested well over $250,000 since the bike went through it's final phase of completion in 2010"

Note #2:  The current owner is an idiot  :D

Anyone think they'll be able to sell it for even $100,000?

That thing has got to be useless for anything except drag racing.
Yet... they "strangely" dont mention quarter mile times or anything like that.
Maybe they're afrai to take it above 50 mph :p

knowles

I don't even think it has 50 miles on it. I still would rather have the engine and put it into a Shelby cobra kit car or something, not in a motorcycle. it would be like taking an Abrams out deer hunting.

I'm unclear of the math there, but is that dude claiming that there's a half million dollars in this bike?  Seriously?

Someone's either exaggerating a wee bit, or not gotten a very good return on their dollar.

I'm no pro fabricator, but I've got some idea of what it'd take to do something like this, and it ain't $500,000.

The only particularly difficult portion of this build would be adapting the engine to the trans.  The rest of it's not any different than slapping together a decent custom or Boss Hoss.

How could one spend an additional $250,000 AFTER it was mostly completed?

Even if his wording is awkward and he really means there's just $250,00 total in the bike (which seems to be what he's saying at the top with the "Cost to build:" line.) he's still way WAY past where he should be.

Hell, the bike with the jet engine in it isn't that expensive.

If you can't be a good example, at least try to be a horrible reminder.

Porkchop

A Picasso master piece is made up of a few dollars worth of paint and canvass yet some people like it so much that they pay millions of $$$ at auction.  I think the same principle applies here.  Someone some where may like this bike so much that it might go for the asking price.

"Uh, I had a gs500, that i made custom. I put a corvette engine in it. but wanted MOAR POWAH so i put a ferrari engine in it. but then I didnt lik how it handled.. too heavy in the curves. so I threu those other engines away and put a lawnmower engin in it. It's a real BEUT now!
Cost to build: $100,000.
