Compatible Bar End Sliders

Hopefully this hasn't been posted already, I used the search and didn't find anything similar.

Anyways, long story short, I needed a new bar end and didn't feel like paying $50+ for the only ones I could find listed as compatible, the R&G ones... I went out on a limb and bought some other aftermarket ones not listed for a gs500 and they were a perfect fit on my '91 gs500. The models they were listed to fit were:

Vortex P/N BE511K

1997-2000 GSXR 600
1996-1999 GSXR 750
1999-2008 Hayabusa
1999-2007 SV 650
1997-2001 TL1000

Theoretically this means that most of the bar ends for the listed bikes will also fit a '91 gs500. With how simple the shape of it is, the primary concern is the screw/thread which went in fine.

Naturally, take it with a grain of salt. Side note though, since they don't extend into the handlebars at all the screw may get bent a bit on an impact since the start of the threads is recessed... but it shouldn't be hard to remove and it's a sacrificial part anyways. If you're concerned, I'm sure you can find some good sized washers to stack in there (and also act as your weights) or spacers could easily be fabbed up.
