It only takes one rotten apple to ruin the whole bunch.   Just the other day I was told that my bike (a gs500f) was a duche mobile.  In response I said it was the driver that makes the bike not the bike it self.  That was the end of that conversation but it still festered and made me grumpy for a while.

I see these videos on You Tube all the time. Its pretty crazy how ignorant and careless some are. I don't understand how some are so fearless and just stupid. I see videos of some going 190 + mph at night wtf ?? is that necessary ?

Yeah its a shame that someone that has a fair amount of skill is such an ass. Search for ghost rider on YouTube. It has nothing to do with the crappy Nicholas Cage movie. Talented rider on a stupid powerful bike intentionally be chased by cops. Crazy.

The fastest I've ever been on a bike was 150 indicated which was actually 138mph due to speedometer error. It was for a very short amount of time and afterwards I felt really stupid for doing it. The bike would shutter a lot at that speed...I could've been killed.

Fastest I've been on my SV650S is 100 indicated and I only stayed there for a second (accelerating past another car).

I like accelerating...not maintaining high speeds. It just feels extremely disadvantaging.

Riders like the guy in the video leave two stains: one on the general motorcycling public, and in all probability, one on the roadway at some point in the future. It's a shame that the actions of just one rider can generate so much negativity for motorcycles in the mind of the general motoring public.

Just because you have the ability to do some crazy shaZam! doesn't necessarily mean you should. There is a time & place for everything.  The last thing we as responsible motorcyclists need is for other motorists to have less respect for us.

That's probably one of the most humbling videos I've seen. There is a place to haul a$$ and it's called a track. But you still need to ride in your limits. I've been 165mph on a friends busa (on radar)  and even on a track with no traffic it's not a comfortable feeling. Thrilling maybe,  but it took 20 minutes to stop the shakes. I don't have any desire to do it again.

f%$k the driver of the truck - how about the poor soul on the back of that damn bike?? I saw that video before and my immediate reaction was "damn, I hope that @$$hole piloting the bike died too". I'm pretty sure the person that got cut in half was the passenger.
