Howdy!

Purchased a 1995 GS500E this month, have been enjoying it (even though I purchased for my wife and daughter).  We've been working on it together and enjoying the helpful posts in this forum.

One of the items we've identified we want to fix is the Kickstand Sensor (part 37840-01D01).  The existing sensor has had the wires removed from the sensor end, with the remaining length wound up around the frame under the seat.  I've ordered, and received a replacement via eBay for $9.45 shipped.  We tested it, and works great; however, how do you properly route the wire to avoid moving parts (i.e. the chain)?  I don't see pictures in my Clymer manual, and cannot find reference to this on this site or on Google.

Many thanks in advance to anyone able to provide me the proper information for this procedure.

Regards,

BuzzedBomber

Mount the switch. Route wire through/around where center stand mounts (hold with a cable tie) then across and up the right side. Connects behind battery, in the area of the regulator & other parts.

Many thanks!  I'll try and get some pictures of what we've done and what we're doing.  This site, and its membership have proven a great resource!
