Hey everyone, a friend of mine is starting a business for himself. He has invented a LED light system for motorcyclist's helmets. They attract a lot of attention and are highly visible.
They do come in many different colors. They are simple to install and run off a 9v battery.

Please check out his website and pick up a set.  :D

Like the idea but they look like they would be blinding you or at least causing a glare on the visor, do you have them in you r helmet so i can see a better vid?

Gotta love a video for a safety feature that's supposed to "save your life", which features a guy blowing through a red light.  :cookoo:

Interesting. But we need more info. How to install? Is there a reflection back into our eyes off the visor? How many hours would they last on a battery?

My question is more of...why? The instances of motorcycle accidents involving other drivers at night is such a lower occurrence due to the already obvious lights it makes sense that this is only really useful if it works in the daytime. That and the fact that they are only really visible from the front.

I bought a bike a few years ago and the seller gave me a helmet called an AXF Lightforce that had an LED light and rechargeable Li-On battery pack built into it.  It had another neat feature with computer-ish intake and exhaust fans for ventalation.  I don't trust used helmets so I never rode with it but I gave it to a guy at work that uses it all the time.  I'll ask if he has ever tried using it with the light on.   http://www.compacc.com/p/AFX-FX-11-Lightforce-Solid-Helmets

This belongs in the For Sale section not here.

+1 to the red light thing.

WTF with the useless and typical squiddy broom broom reving while doing nothing much?

If a driver cannot see my headlight, then these two little LEDs are not going to make a difference. Just a gimmick for squids to look cool with other squids at night. Think I'll pass.

In the end the most important piece of safety gear is the thing you put inside your helmet.

I'll stick with my 1W Led's in the fairing, even in broad daylight you can't look at them.

Here ya go, you'll have to fabricate every aspect of the install, I have posted here before about them, they are a "be seen" type of light in my application, I use them as daytime running lights.

Or just get a Shark brand glow-in-the-dark Tron helmet!!!

http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/shark-evoline-2-st-moovit-lumi-helmet

Yeh I got the Shark glow in the dark helmet. Only fault with it is it needs light to recharge to give off light and last about 30mins. It is a bit eerie when you switch the lights out to go to sleep at night and see a blue glowing helmet in the corner of your room. I have found Shark helmets to be Shoei quality and fit without the Shoei price.

And +1 to the video. Your mate might want to make another little more professional one that will appeal to the majority of the safe motorcycling community.

Is that all you got? How about some constructive feedback?  :icon_confused:

Your comment 1/10

1. Put lights not inside visor, like back of helmet, or sides.
2. This is a safety device? The first 15 seconds of the video???
3. If they can't see your headlight, they probably aren't about to see 2 little red lights.
4. Seriously, the video has to go.

In addition to comments above, keep in mind that red lights facing forward is illegal in some jurisdictions.
