Dammit to hades recoil starter breaking on goped

it fell off the other day, located it and reattached. now im bloodying knuckles to get her to start ( not catching engine also sold by redmax as a backpack blower engine)) wanting to know if anyone can find one cheaper than this. even used i dont care as long as it works, this pig is my transportation to and from work

Hmmmmm need advice could line the cup the starter engaged with, wiht perhaps 80 grit sandpaper, and a roughed up socket, and perhaps use that to start the goped? its a concave metal cup. ? advice? suggestions? am running out of knuckles to bust lol
