It seems models  N, P and R in Europe had adjustable preload shocks.

Anyone ever have these? Know where to buy the fork caps? Part #21  51351-01D60

Seems a place in France has them for 79 Euros each (www.bike-parts-suz.com)

I'm trying to make Phenix the ultimate in the hard to find really cool OEM parts. anyone in UK, Germany or Spain know about these or know of any floating around?

This page is from the 1993-1995 GS500  E parts catalogue 6th edition.

I have a pair you can have for the cost of shipping(from europe).
I also have a pair of these ultra rare gems for your collection. I doubt you will ever install them thou. They are restrictors. (34hp communist state only)

adidasguy

I'll take everything. It would be cool to have the restrictors in the collection!

PM me on how to proceed.

Now if I can find a handlebar setup as shown in some photos in the Haynes manual. I haven't even seen them in the parts lists.

Thanks! Got them in today....  along with all kinds of other stuff I ordered.
now I have to look on parts diagrams (other models) for what the cap presses on. haven't seen the cap on any GS parts lists but I'm sure it is the same as other models use. So I should be able to get it in and working. now to decide if Junbior or Phenix gets them.....

Correction - I forgot my German parts catalog shows them. Should be no problem getting them installed. Maybe for Backfire Moto night this Wednesday?

Correction to Correction: I take that back. The parts catalog really doesn't make it clear -I'll have to research this a little more.....  The parts drawing looks like an adjustable but there is nothing it seems to press on?  :dunno_black:

.... OK - the Haynes manual actually shows them. It is a disc washer - like a bigger shim, in there. I should be able to handle that  :icon_lol:

Also got in tank pads, old magazines with GS500 reviews, more Euro clip-ons and other parts. Like Christmas in June!

Nothing for a while sadly.. BUT I'm working on it!

I'm now on the hunt for set of these as well! Figured I'd bump this thread than start another.

If you can source another set, or if any across the pond has some to let go. Post, pm, or e-mail me!

I don't adjust mine - they are there for the cool factor.
I just found another set from a bike breaker in the UK. I had to buy the whole forks (Well, they are good forks ) and was buying other parts from him.

I bet members in Europe or down under can find some at bike breakers. How 'bout it mates? Helps us out!
