Clear or smoked tail lens?

I'm trying to either find a smoked LED kit, or a clear or smoked lens that I could use with the LEDs available from superbrightleds.
I happened across a discussion about the reduced daylight visibility of clear tail lenses- I assume this is because glare off the lens interferes with the light from the bulbs that you would otherwise see? How much does this extend to smoked lenses?
Has anyone used Nite Shades or another similar tinting product on the stock lens? My goal wouldn't be to black it out, but just to lightly coat the lens.

I prefer the smoke. I don't use Clear alternatives because they don't illuminate the license plate.
The superbright tail light does work really nice. Put a pair in a friends tail light.

I get all from lights4all on ebay. They're in Germany.
You can get smoke tail light for old or new bikes.
For turn signals, only new so you can replace turn signals with newer ones if you have an 89-00 bike. Try for 2001-2002 when doing that as the stalks on the fronts are longer since 2001-2002 didn't have a fairing.

Smoke is nicer in daylight. The turn signals are dark rather than orange. When the blink, they go from dark to bright orange. Good contrast!
The regular orange ones go from orange to brighter orange. Not as much contrast.
Same with tail light.

Don't know where to buy just the smoke lenses here in the USA.

Hey,
i put a smoked integrated tail light on my gs
This is the ebay description, "Tail light for HONDA Hornet 900 600 Suzuki GS500F 04~09"
I found the fit to be pretty good, but the stock gasket doesnt quite fit properly with the aftermarket light.
I find it to be pretty visable during daylight
Here is a pic

Same here. But, I can right-click and copy the image URL and paste it into a new window/tab to open it up.
It seems it has become necessary to qualify my posts:
