Ok, whatever you are building, I want to see pictures.

Edit: Oh, you mean GR 650. Thats a rare bike. Only made it to the usa 1 or 2 years iirc. Obvious things come to mind...I'm sure it is possible with a bit of patience. Things like bolt patterns, valve clearance, compression differences, and intake/exhaust volume specs come to mind.

All I got on that one.

Gr650 also had a sub-intake port. From Wikipedia:

"To induce better swirling of the air-fuel mixture in the GR650 engine, Suzuki used a "sub-intake port," which ran a tube from the carburetor throat to the intake port just above the valve head. Suzuki claimed that this allows the GR650 to run with a leaner mixture than usual, which improves economy"

A GS head won't have this. Something to consider. I'll let others chime in now.

Buddha, I can't recall anybody trying it over on the GSResources .....so there's probably a good reason...

The Gs head would have smaller valves compared to the GR anyway, correct?

And Jester - that swirling port induction can be completely blocked off and the motor runs just fine.

It's opener there in the wide open air...

I cant imagine that GR head being better flowing than the GS one ... 1-2 mm smaller valves however I dont think it even matters.
