I kinda think I might be starting to maybe get it. While there are many valid points I believe there are so many different reasons for people to like cats that it won't be something I can ever really get. I think I'll stick with dogs. But please continue to elaborate and add your theories.

I love my cat! She's my girl if I'm having a bad day or not feeling well she will sleep with me and want me to play with her. It turns out to be beneficial for me too if I'm in a bad mood I'm typically not after a game of "I'm gonna get me a cat" which is like hide and seek. I will chaser her down the hall she hides under the bed I will say "Where's my cat. I don't see no cat" and go to walk away at that point she jumps out and starts batting my feet LOL!

She is also my guard cat!


Or how can you not melt at this cuteness? Or see her for that matter

mary youve got that right. dammit, my orange cat, and cattywampus von pusstipher who i had since 1999 know when something isnt right with me. ( mentally or physically, and they get close and cuddle. i put my issues to the side

Cats still have their primal instincts. They hunt and (sometimes) eat birds, rodents, lizzards and other small animals. Cats don't kill people. (Well, maybe a lion.)

Some dogs have reverted back to very primal instincts. They can kill children, attack and maul people or other animals.

Some dogs are loud and very annoying. While killing people and being loud may have a purpose, as a house pet that is not good.

Cats rule.

I agree, cats are great, but leave my poor dogs out of it. They love cats too.

Yea once these 2 cats were done with my kawasaki ... nothing was ever going to rust ... ever ... these buggers "seal"ed it. They even sealed the seat and tires and mirrors and windscreen. Man was it great ... cats rule.

That was mostly a cat on "Lazer pointer", my cat no longer falls for the pointer trick, now she just looks at me with disdain as if to say; Fool me once, shame on you, etc, etc.

He did have catnip. It was a combination of catnip and laser pointer. Laser pointer came after having catnip. And where is the laser pointer when acting crazy with the kitty bed? Nowhere - because he was high on catnip.

Other scenes were just catnip. It was his first time with catnip.

mine gets stoned o it, then tries to climb up hte walls after the laser. if i fix laser at 8ft up hel sit and stare at it ( dammit) othercat comesup behind him sees this sees laser, and bitchstlaps dammit. who the stares at laser again. eventually jumping at it. i have a small disco ball mirrored, i point laserat ti cat hates me for this shaZam!. cause beign high he will attack anythign that moves. now in my meaner days this is what we did for fun. 7 people, 6 joints, and 1 cat each gets passed to the left. cat gets a face of smoke. repeatedly. eventually this cat, ( still alive btw) ate only dogfood. BIG kibbles i might say. and when wed walk toward the palce we smoked at hed be on our heels. and swipeat em if we didnt fire up.
