I get dammit to chase laser pointers. sometimes into doors. . or i run hte pointer up to door, then shut it off. he sits there and waits. or up to wall. he stops, i raise light up about 5ft. he sits and stares @ it. then you see him crouch wiggle and try to jump.

only happened once. not hard thank GOD. his traction on hardwood floors is like ice road truckers on drag slicks. sopunds odd but this cat DOES look at me like a parent. knows when health is about to crash he will NOT leave me alone. follows me wherever i go around house. I wont let him outside, cause hed try to follow me to work. ( hes done it once. had to beat someones ass for trying to kick him. he climbs into my bed and sits beside me til i nod off, then he settles down and sleeps for a bit before moving away and sleeping elsewhere. hes like a child i never had. am slowly bringing him out of his mental hell he was living in, for first 6 mos of his life. 3 degrees of dammit. ( how he knows if hes in trouble or not. ( if i call him kittywampus or just wampus hes fine and comes running. ( can hear him from across hosue lol) if i call him dammit, he approaches cautiously. cause he knows im not quite amused. now if i holler CAT, he does not approach. cause hes done somethign he shouldnt have done.

I saw a few cats meet their demise when I was a kid and it's tough, but don't let that ruin your love of kitties.  I'm not sure about woodworking but I can tell you motorcycles, guitars, and cats are cool and sexy.  They all represent non-conformism and independence to one extent or another.  I also know why some people don't like the #1 pet on Earth.  Some are allergic, but cats don't blindly obey.  Cat hater most often = bossy control freak, like the retired teacher across the street.  I've thought long and hard about this.  Unless you're allergic cats are adorable, unless the fact you can't control them drives you nuts.  My daughter gets mad at the cats because she grabs and holds them too long then they run away and won't come to her.  I still tell her to this day, "Don't be a control freak and they'll come to you!"  By the way gentlemen, the same strategy works with women.  Just be sweet and agreeable and you'll be amazed how far you get.

I love my cats even though I am allergic to them and having recently had my spleen removed, they can literally kill me (I must have the cleanest hands in the world).  They frustrate me me to tears with their silliness, disobedience and sheer don't give a rats attitude, but that's what makes them a challenge.  Plus my male cat yet again chased another dog of the property yesterday, that is cool, he is like that Schrodinger's cat.
