Anybody have pics of their GS500F with running lights on?

I received new flush mount signals and they came with a 3 wire set up to do running lights. I'm just wondering if anybody can source some pics of this (while on)

I've looked but I mostly find pics of lights that aren't on or it's just threads about where to source the power from.

Also, anybody have a clue about the legality(USA) of having running lights in the front but not in the rear?

Do rear running lights have to be red?

It's a lot of questions I know but an answer to any would be great!

You MUST have a rear running light - red. It is in your tail light.
You really would be  stupid  want to get hit  kidding  not to want a rear running light - what - you don't want anyone behind you to see you?  :icon_eek:

Front running lights are optional.
Rear turn signal running lights are optional. Red tail running light required.

Connect the front running light wire to the running light in your headlight. That's the brown wire to the little light.

I added extra side lights which are running lights and turn signals. Drivers to the side of me can see my turn signals now. I leave the stock on front and rear because I like them big so people can see them.

Lol, I didn't word that right. I definitely have my rear brake running light on all the time. That's a given

If I do add front running lights, do I have to have add supplemental rear running lights? For balance?

It might sound dumb but I remember reading in another thread, there are laws where if you have front turn signals you must have rear, if no signals at all, then that is legal as well. Can't have one without the other. Thought something similar might apply here as well.

I do not think running lights are that way. Anyway, you do have a rear tail running light.

You can check your state laws or just as a motorcycle cop. The DOT also has lighting requirements. It has things like distance between rear turn signals shall be 9" minimum. That makes it illegal if you only have integrated turn signals because they are not 9" apart.

My side white lights are legal in Washington (they could be amber). I used to have them blue. A cop was nice enough to advise me to change the color and pointed out the WA law.

RCW 46.37.210
Additional lighting equipment.

(1) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two side cowl or fender lamps which shall emit an amber or white light without glare.

     (2) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than one running-board courtesy lamp on each side thereof which shall emit a white or amber light without glare.

Thanks again, I'll try to look that up for Oklahoma.
