Hi!
I'm not sure if this it the place, but this forum already saved my life some times, so here it goes...

Yesterday, I found this worms in my toilet:

This was hours later I've used and flushed it. It's shape looks like a roundworm but its brown instead of whitish. Could this be living inside me, or my plumbing system?
Anyone knows what kind of worm is that?

Regards,

I think that this is probably an indicator of a plumbing issue as opposed to a medical issue.  My guess is that there is a compromise in the main drain line that takes sewage water away from the house.

Thaaaaanks!!!
What a relief...gsforum saves the day, again!

Bombsquad, can you elaborate a bit on that? That compromise would be a blockage or a leakage?
Now that you mention it, that toilet doesn't work very well, almost every time one uses it, will have to use a plunger too.

Thanks guys, it is a big relief for me, as I have Crohn's Disease and two ressections, worms inside me would not be the best news...  :thumb:

I feel for you with Crohns.  My wife has her share of intestinal, joint, and dermotologic issues all stemming from a similar immunologic disorder.

Tree roots or other issues can block the clay drain pipes that go out of the building.  I'm guessing this toilet is on the bottom floor.  Temporary solution is to get a plumber to do rotorooting.  Expensive solution is to dig up the drain pipe and replace it.

Clay sewer pipe probably cracked/broke. Dirt and debris are getting in and clogging it up.
May require digging up the sewer line to replace a section.
Snaking down with a camera can tell. Plumbers have those now to see what the problem is. Really cool! I have a small one I use on bikes, inside walls, etc.

Correct :thumb: That is exactly what it is called here in Aussieland and no it did not come from your butt lol. Check your sewage pipes as suggested

Thanks man, I guess our immune system is all messed up in someway, as I have joint issues (f*cking sacroiliac!!) and dermatitis as well. My Crohns is sleeping for a while now, biologic drugs and gym also silenced joint pain, and dermatitis is that shity shaZam! that one got to take every thay, even though that I have a cream that makes it disapear in a couple of days (forget to use it)...anyway, if I keep my head out of it (hard to do when you see a worm in the toilet!), it doesn't wake up!
Best whishes for you wife health, and please be patient with her!  :thumb:

This house was built a long time ago, and recently remodeled by a tight (like a nylon nut and counter nulon nut) landlord so the pluming system might be the same and it might very well be the problem.

If anyone in the meantime want to fish in the Tejo river, in Lisbon, I have the bait and the grill!! ;-)

Thank you all!
