Hi everyone....!!! :thumb: I did a little searching on the forum but I would like some fresh answers to some old questions..... I finally went over 10,000 mile on my 07F and need to replace the following parts over winter and would like to know if I should buy OEM or Aftermarket replacement parts? F&R brake pads, Battery (standard or gel), Chain...(seems to be in good shape for the mileage) or should I replace it  with a fresh chain for next year? What Brands do you recommend? Thanks for your respones :D

EBC brake pads
Yuasa or Shorai battery. $$$$ but worth it. Walmart or no name batteries are junk.

Forgot about chain...sorry. DID or Parts Unlimited good brands. O-Ring or X-Ring is what you want.

Does your chain really need doing? Are you out of adjustment? Also can you pull the chain off the rear sprocket at the 3 o'clock position and expose most or all of the sprocket tooth? If no to both those questions then your chain is ok so dw bout it. But if yes then as said above go o or x ring chain and do sprockets as well no matter what. Brakes go HH in the front but stay with standard pads in the rear but generally speaking your rear pads should last years. Batteries go for a sealed maintenance free one and your gold.

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

I ran EBC extreme pro pads on my GS. The cost is about twice that of the HH pads, but they are linear, noticably more powerful, last longer, and wear the rotors less.

If you have the cash galfer is another excellent brand to consider
