Help!?

I assume this is a bad thing? I'm terrible with names (i believe this is a cylinder head) but it appears something is leaking out of the engine and burning on it, could it be cracked? (now that i got a closer look i'm thinking maybe a leaky head-gasket)




It feels gritty, not really wet

i don't think this is new, it was like this when i got the bike but i just really got a good look at it the other day and i'm not sure what to do
