I know I am a bit late to the game, but I am looking for one of airbrush's rear huggers. He is sold out with no plans to make more in the immediate future, confirmed via PM a couple days ago.

So, I am hoping that someone has one that either they never installed, went a different direction, or sold/selling the bike and the hugger is no longer needed.

I realize that there are ways to mod a bandit 400 hugger (or others) to fit, but I don't believe I am skilled enough to pull off the fabrication. Also, I don't think the finished product has the polished look to pacify my perfectionist tendencies.

I am located in MIchigan, so shipping within the US & Canada is preferred. Give me a holler if you have one you'd be willing to part with.

Thanks guys!

Well, there is only one way I would part with an extra one I haven't used yet.
That would be for the original OEM rear luggage rack. I have never seen one. I have heard they existed. There are threaded holes on each side on the luggage rails. So something - the OEM carrier - must have used those threaded screw holes.
Find me the OEM carrier and I'll part with a rear hugger.

People know me as a parts whore - always in search of the rare and hard to find. I just got the adjustable pre-load fork caps from a member in Europe! Sweet! They were never sold in the USA. Same for some clip-on type handle bars I have. So I need that rear OEM carrier. I'm still looking for the OEM handlebars we see in the old Haynes manuals. I've never even seen a part number for them.

Hey jdoorn, I'm in the same boat as you. But, I found this site from the UK. I'm seriously thinking of making a purchase. http://www.simpson-detour.co.uk/Huggers/3147028/9/GS500.page

Does anyone have any experience buying from these guys?

You can buy them on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/180731214063?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D180731214063%26_rdc%3D1

I have seen these and contemplated purchasing...however, I would be back to the whole modification/fabrication thing that I'm trying to avoid, because those have the built-in chain guard.  :technical:  I want to use the stainless steel guard I bought from adidasguy.

Oh, and adidasguy, a simple "I have one, but you can't have it" would have sufficed.  LOL :flipoff:  I cannot hope to stumble across something you have never even seen in your parts whoring adventures. :thumb:

I found I have one that I will not be using. It is fiberglass.
Will sell for what the cost was plus postage.
I think that was like $200 US dollars.
New, in the box.
