Replacement cyl head from adidas will be here tomorrow!!!  :thumb:  :woohoo:

Going back to a stock exhaust tnx to Steezin coverin my @$$ yet again!!

But keeping my K&N open air filter.

Need some info from people who have that setup as they are riding their bikes Now, and not some old info.
Not to mention, the list below, has quite a difference between them!

What I have now.
40 pilots.
and the main sizes I have are 127.5, 130, 145, & 150s.
Also have washers for the needles if needed.

Should I stick with 130 mains and maybe 1 washer?
Thinkin I will probably start with that but just curious what others have with the same setup.
and somewhere between 2.5 and 3 turns out.

42 pilot, 3 washers, 132.5 mains, 1&3/4 turns.  K&N lunch box, aftermarket can, no baffles, stock headers

You have a lunchbox or the drop-in?  For the lunchbox with stock exhaust the matrix indicates this:

pilot 40
main 140
washers 1
turns 2.5
people 2

Lunchbox.

sorry, used to just saying the Open air filter, as its completely open.

you really think 140??

seems like quite a jump.

Guess I will have to try the 130 with washers under the needles to keep it from running too lean until 140s arrive.
Unless you think 145s wont be too bad.

I'll have to test it and see.

hmm actually, I think 145, no washers, and only 2 to 2.25 turns out to start with until 140 mains arrive.

unless I can get some more opinions?

Main jet, mixture screws, and washers under the needle all adjust mixture at different throttle position.  You can't really compensate for one being off by using the other.  I only suggested the 140 because that is what the jetting matrix says, which is based on what others have found to work.

Weren't you having issues with being lean before?  I'm not really surprised if you were lean if you were running 130 mains with a full exhaust and a lunchbox...

Tombstones81

was just a slip-on and the box.
and I was running my 145s with that.

I Thought it was lean because of all the exhaust popping.
which was because of a leak where the pipe meets the muffler.

after the welding, it was leaking at the headers.

so I never got to sort out how it was running based on the carbs.

already ordered the 140s last night.
but i'll make due with my 145s until they arrive.
