Crank case cover 92=05

Hey guys I had a quick question the crank case cover on a 92 will that fit on a 05F?
Zeromile5 has a cover he is willing to sell me but I need to make sure it will fit first. We have both done some looking around and we have found that the part numbers for both years are off by one digit? Does anyone know why this might be?
