broken choke cable. need some help

okay i am trying to change handle bars i got everything off. the book says remove the choke cable and i start to screw off the clamp on the actual cable and brake the threads inside. see pictures. because of this the choke will not stay in the on position. the cable itself is fine but some how i need to replace this brokwn bit.

is this pie ce come only with cable?

i later discovered that the choke cable unhooks just like the clutch and brake.

I'm pretty sure that is only available with a new cable. Besides, if parts are breaking off of your current one, a new cable certainly wouldn't hurt.
