A heavy heart

I just found out today one of my best friends Levi Johnson died this weekend. On 9-11-12 he went to basic training to be a chaplain's assistant in the Army National Guard. Apparently he was doing an endurance drill when he complained of chest pains and died before he made it to the hospital. Levi was an incredible man of God. He was the real deal no matter how chitty a day I was having him walking in with that addictive smile brought my spirits up. The thought of never seeing that smile again leaves a hole the size of an abyss in my heart. I know he died doing his dream, and that God has a plan for this but honestly from my perspective God "THIS SUCKS". He leaves behind a wife and two small children 5&7. If you pray please pray for that family they are going to need it.

So sorry to hear for the loss. You, friends, and family will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

His smile that could lift the heaviest of spirit now lives through you. He has shown you the way, there is a time for grieving, but then let you celebrate his life and smile on for him forever as he is smiling down on us.

Yes,

Tonight I went over to their house I talked with Tina and played with the kids. All of the family was there and we sat around the table for hours telling stories. We celebrated Levi and it lifted all of our hearts sharing all of his loving stories!

But, it hurts even more to find out he died from the same heart condition I have. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy I've lost too many friends to this stupid disease.
