cheapest gsr available. http://www.goped.com/products/GSRCruiser/default.asptime to start saving. so i can get doc off my back. he wants me off bikes for a while. i can take engine off of bike, and install on this gsr with minimal fuss. aka 50-60+ mph. will make use of a fluid brake system. which i have left over from my svott waimea

maybe just you SHO ( w/e that means) but am trinyg to get ideas on getting my ass backon the road. walking is out of question. doc has all but forbidden bicycle riding, aka severely limiting it . scooters however hes no qualms with.im here psoting ideas for wuggestions. so whats your suggestion?,  i await your answer

I have no issue with post whores, but I do prefer to read threads that stay on topic. I'm also more apt to keep track of what's going on in each thread I'd there are fewer of them to flip to.

Not gopeds, but i've been itching to talk it up with ya on whats brewing with my mopeds! It has definitely become another addiction haha. Bought 2 more for super cheap. Got the 77 garelli ssxl, 80 garelli ssxl ltd, and 96 kinetic tfr(the girlies)

the 77 garelli is out of control. Last part to find is a true vm20 mikuni carb. Then build, start and break it in. Here's the ridonkulous list of parts;

polini 70cc Matic Kit - Mild case match on transfers
High comp head(stock head milled by Moped Factory)
Weakends 20mm Intake pipe for VM20
knock off vm20, with real one to come soon!
Weakends exhaust
BRN 2 shoe race clutch(hardest part to find, luckily i found this one, unused from an old garelli builder)
Running Minarelli V1 starter plate and clutch bell with garelli gear welded in
Mini clubman bars
Polini filter
Headlight grill
16" snowflake wheels(going to paint the stock spoke wheels black and keep for back up.)
stack 1 - stack 2 - stack 3 - NOS V1 bell, starter plate, and snap ring straight from Italy!

The 80 garelli ltd is going to be kept stock for a while. Just needs a new set of tires a bit more cleaning and she'll be my more reliable shredped. Got a set of sava MC2's in the post now. The big scheme for this one is a nutter build to make it my noped. Using the kick start garelli team engine I snatched from Germany. Just need to find a fan, and fan shroud and i'll be in business. I was told by 1 person that this engine won't bolt to my ssxl's frame though.. Hoping i can make it work w/o modifying the ltd's engine mounts. We'll see once it gets over across the big pond. If it doesn't fit, I've found a 77 ssxl rolling chassis a few hours away.

Dropped the engine out of the kinetic last night. After pulling the head and cylinder and finding no air leaks to cause the low 100psi compression. I decided to go ahead and order a full rebuild kit. Got the engine out easy as cake last night(thanks youtube videos!) Going to start the rebuild tonight, just got to clean the liquid gasket off the PO used

Yeah! feels good to get it all out of my system haha. I wish we were closer yama, would definitely be down to chill, wrench, ride, and learn some of yer 2 stroke knowledge!! Find me a moped for cheap down there, and i'll make the trek!! Drove to Pittsburgh for the ltd, long haul.. Though I paid $120 for it with all original parts(oil injector, tool bag w/tools, mirror, buddy pegs) owners manual and it had the original 1980 title signed over into my name! First ped owner to even mention a title haha

Didn't this thread just go entirely off topic because of the people staying to stay on topic? or is that just me...?

so what do you have to work with? i think gopeds (or mopeds, same thing, right?) are great for cities, but i live in the country and cant safely go anywhere.

ever think about a motor-scooter? (the stand up kind) i clocked mine in at 36 MPH (viper with racing pipe + K&N intake) with police radar. they make seats for em to if you dont like to stand up.

idk. but am not posting anymor eabout it. seems to have ruffled 1 feather. which is one too many. legs gave out today while @ work. so am reporposing an electric wheelchair until i get back on feet. and other swho are complaining. if i put all of my threads on 1 thread, would be HARD to read, because it would be one thread with 15 topics. so ill keep quiet for a bit. to keep em happy
