Lost my Key

Hey, I lost my motorcycle key, kinda stupid. Anyways, do I have to get a whole new lock set to install on the bike or has anyone ever heard of someone who can either make me a new cylinder or make a key to fit the current one I have? thanks

Locksmith made my key on-site. Only one I've ever had

+1 on the locksmith.  Should not be more than $30.

They can either do a code cut from the VIN, if they have the machine, or make one from a technique called impressioning.

First option: Bring your I.D. title and/or VIN number to a Suzuki dealer and they should be able to make a key for you for cheap.

2nd option: Locksmith, call around.

Wish I would have known that when I had my GSX-R750.  Cost $200 to have the locks re-keyed.

I got this same story when I bought my bike... PO only had one key because he had to get it rekeyed when he lost his keys while mowing a 6 acre lot and couldn't every find the spare.  Cost him $150 plus he had it towed because the forks were locked last time he took the key out...

I don't understand why people with one key don't get spares cut right away. Learn that lesson.
