It was really wet on Wenesday! I forgot my rain gear  . I needed to get an outright set anyhow so I saw some female spec Frogg Toggs at Cycle Gear. The bottoms were on sale for $25! The top was $45 so I passed on it. But Cycle Gear had a top for $29! So a whole set for $58!

When I went out into the pouring rain (it had really started coming down while I was in the shop). The Frogg Toggs felt really light almost too fragile. Kinda feels like those paper gowns in the hospital. So, I started doubting the hype on these things.  But, when I started getting them on over my boots they did feel pretty sturdy. Slight problem though around the boots the elastic is not quite enough to get around the boots on the right side I managed to get it down over my jeans. The left about an 1/8 of an inch. Out in the rain was a different story though. Whatever this material is it just comes right off a good analogy would be like rainex on a window. After about an hour my left leg was a little cool which I assumed was water. My boots were getting a bit soaked by this point.

Now for the Bilt. It fills a bit heavier they are kinda PVCish. But, they do have a liner that keeps your skin from sticking to your skin. They block the wind well! And they were not too hot. It is 3/4 length so no worries of it pouring down your pants. The collar is high as well and water does not pour down the neck! The strips reflect well as seen in the pic!

So, yeah I love 'em both! Don't think I'd pay the full out price for Frogg Toggs but for the clearance price a good deal! The Bilt has a five year warranty so I think it was a good buy too. I get more annoyed with wet pants than soaked shirts and jackets.

Now for the results I was 95% dry! The only wet spots was the left part of my jean that was showing. If only my boots and gloves where as good LOL!

It looks like you got a great deal on some good gear.  :thumb:

I bought myself a Rev'it Pacific High Vis rainsuit (http://www.revit.eu/en/#/products/FRC001) a couple weeks ago, and finally got to test it in the wet last night. It wasn't cheap at $150 (in NZ), but I really like the fluoro yellow colour in crappy weather.

Thanks for posting your review!  I'm in need of some rain gear...  My overpants are no longer waterproof in the crotch, and the front seam on my rain jacket is coming undone.

My rain jacket is a lot like the Bilt one you have.  I keep it under my seat, but it barely fits.  Do you think a top/bottom set of Frogg Toggs would fit under the seat?
