Damn, i wish i would've known that's the car you were looking for. Friend of mine just sold his corolla for $500. Needed a cv joint but had a "sweet" sony x-plod stereo. I think it was only about 140k. Still seems you did good on it.

Thanks anyway bro. :) Kinda far, I'm in Atlanta.

Nice ride!  Those things will damn near last forever.  My dad had an 89 Corolla, and he used to take it anywhere.  Hell, he'd go bogging in it, just to prove he could.   :icon_twisted:

Georgia has a bit looser title rules than Ohio where I live.  In OH, if there is an issue, get ready to wait and have drama.  The courts get involved here and it's a waiting game in that case.

I'd make sure that the lien is released completely and a letter from the lien holder (bank) before ANY money changes hands.  No title = no tags, so proceed with caution.

I called the lien holder (GA Auto Pawn) and they told me point blank that they don't give titles back without being paid back in full. Also, the lady at the TT&T office told me that in GA titles are NOT given back in that situation until it's taken care of.

cant beleive NO-ONE has jumped on this...

if the car has a lean (yeah its deliberate) .. then its probably the suspension on one side has broked .. or mebbe the PO was a lardass and beefed it up on one side too!! ..

or mebbe just dont park it on the kerb ... if'n its flat on the street then it dont be leanin no more!  :icon_mrgreen:

Nice!
no pics?!

It's a $1300 car... a Geo Prizm AKA Toyota Corolla, lol. It's nothing special. And frankly, it's not even worth taking pictures of.

Here's the pics the guy sent me before I bought it:

DUDE, is that a standalone equalizer above the head unit?  I haven't seen one of those in a car since the late 90's/early 2000's.  Man...

P.S. -  Those Corollas are built like tanks and it doesn't look bad either.  Just need some door panels it looks like.  If you have a Pull-a-part near you, that is THE place to be for cheap parts for older vehicles.

Rocking the Grateful Dead sticker too..

Kijona, check that sucker good for shake, I'd be willing to bet there's some in there, especially around the edges of the carpet, and in the center console.   :whisper:

Whoa.  It has an intake. Thats an easy 25hp. And the last post might be right, check it real good and you might find enough pot to pay for it. Still, thing should last forever.

Already blew the entire inside out with a leaf blower. Smelled horrible in there...like old diapers. Saturated the seats with Febreze. Let it air out over night.

Funny thing you should mention that though. After blowing it out, I was standing near the hood of the car talking to my neighbor, and I could've SWORN I smelled some MJ burning (the car was running).

Thankfully it looks like they took the time to vacuum the inside out really good. I just wanted to get all the dust and stuff out.

That's another thing. The stereo is in FUBAR'ed shape. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to go through and rewire everything because it's a jumbled mess and half the FREAKING wires are missing, and there are lots of wires that don't belong.

Finally got the tunes working in my car. Thank god for that.

It's ACTUALLY a decent head unit. Believe it or not.

I used the old 6x8's from my Ranger (which actually had a premium sound system put it in from the factory in 1997) for the rear, along with some liquid nails to cement them in place. Then the door panels I filled with some Sony XPLOD 6x9's. Now my car is banging. Lol.

Now to install that 1000w subwoofer/amp in the back...  :cookoo:

Kidding. I'm not that absurd.
