Okay.
Had to redo mine and did a few minor searches, but even before then I always read the Same detailed instructions.....

and that is, basically heating the fabric up, pulling it tight around the sides and stapling it down....
BRAVO for those who had the patience to do it The Hard Way!!!

I almost went nuts last night trying to do it that way!

So last night I watched a few how to videos.

and today, went to Harbor Freight today for a new staple gun and some spray on glue.

Bought the fabric yesterday, Jo Ann Fabric & Crafts store.
Black Marine Vinyl.

Started out with the fabric cut about 6 inches longer on the sides. (I bought enough material for like friggin 5 seats so I had enough)

Tossed the fabric in the dryer for 5 to 10 mins.

Sprayed the glue all over the top and sides of the seat.
and then all over the back of the fabric.

Laid the fabric over the seat.

Went from side to side on the #1 area in the pic first.

From the #1 area, went down the middle of the back in the #2 area and worked the sides out as I went down the middle.

Then from the #1 line, went down the middle of the front seat along the #3 line.
but as I was doing that, I had to work the sides more then the rest.

For the sides, I started out on the right side of the seat in the pic.
If the glue was a little too dried, I pulled only the side up a little bit and sprayed more glue on the sides and around the bottom on the plastic.

Pulled it tight and if no wrinkles, held it tight and put a staple in.

Then I simply went around the entire thing doing the same thing.
Any wrinkles, I simply pulled the fabric off the sides away from the foam, sprayed more glue, pulled it tight to where there was no wrinkles, held it in place on the bottom and added a staple or two.

VERY easy solo project using the glue instead of multiple ppl with Only a staple gun!

Hope this helps anyone looking to redo their seat.

Not a single wrinkle in mine right now, or any spots where its too tight and the fabric isnt against the foam.
everything is Flush together and perfect!

The glue wasn't necessary- if you decide to recover that seat again you'll be cussing that glue. Some vinyl's stretch more than others ( backing mainly ) . The vinyl's usually stretch   more in one direction than the other too- can make the job a little easier running the stretch bias  front to back or side to side depending on the shape of the seat.

Heat is definitely your friend - a hair dryer or a heat gun on low using care work fine .

Allsport vinyl is an easier one to install- it stretches in every direction ( used on Jet ski seats etc a lot ). Probably run you 25-30$ a yard and shipping (can be found on ebay).

I know...this all helps now that you're done.
When the 2nd Amendment is lost, the rest will soon follow.
