Bar End Weights?

I just realized my bike does not have any bar end weights.  That is the handlebars end right at the end of the rubber of the hand grips.

The thing is the PO is a co-worker and he mentioned that one of them fell off so he took the other one off.

I didnt think anything of it until I researched their purpose that they are to reduce vibration, of which I have noticed.

1. Does the GS500F (2004) actually come with Bar End Weights?
2. Do Bar End Weights make a noticeable difference?
3. I read that OEM is best as they are calibrated for the bike.  Should I get OEM or AM?

All GS500's come with bar end weights. OEM is good. If you go after market, be sure to get WEIGHTS - not pretty aluminum things with no mass.

Bar ends to help with vibration and take the hit when your bike falls over.

I use R&G bar ends on all my GS500's. They are a nice chrome steel and weight about the same as OEM but look so much better. Oberon also makes some nice heavy bar ends.

And I might add that they are not necessary if you do not get the vibrations in your bars.
I do not have bar end weights and have no vibration so I did not feel it necessary to add them.

I am not interested in anything you have to say
Don't bother talking to me, I will not answer you
