I called NA Warhorse, and got no answer.  So I got some magic spray from advance auto.  Sprayed it on my air filter, and the bike's running again.  It ran all day without a problem.  Took it out 50 miles to wilkesberry to see my girlfriend, and then about 4-5 hours later took it home.

Oh wow.  You live in Plymoth.  I go up that way all the time to see my girl friend in Wilkesberry.  I also work in dallas. Lots of driving. lol. When I get my license, I'll be taking the bike up every chance I get.

...heh,  never thought I would here or see some one say or write wilkesberry.  I refused to put the "y" at the end of that, the armpit of PA,place.  It always sounded like a young child when I herd it.  Probably one of the reasons it didn't work out with the girl I dated up there.

Anyway,  nice bike and welcome!

Peace out girl scout

Today, I went to start the bike, and no lights came on when I turned the key.  I haven't ridden it in about.. maybe 4 days. Does yours do that when you try to take it out in cold weather as well? It's about 50 out. I have it charging now. The lights are coming on now, and I just get rapid clicks.  I've only got a little while before I have to get ready for work. :(

check the acid level, replace as needed, then charge. charging a dry battery kills it usually.

Did you ever get this figured out? I'm in a similar position and trying to figure it out. One thing I noticed about my bike is that the acid level is SUPER high. I'm not sure what effect this has, but I want to try to remedy it. Anyone have any suggestions before I start googling? I tried riding the bike to work this morning (about 50* F), it started, but died multiple times on the way; ended up bringing it home. I tried some seafoam last week, and the problem stopped for a few days, but its back at it. I've had the battery checked and it was A-OK, but it also doesn't help that I left the battery on all day yesterday.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Re-reading the original posts, it seems the battery was probably bad.

The chugging and slowing down then switching to reserve means the obvious: low on gas. It has been posted many times that due to the shape of the tank, what looks like half a tank is really 1/4 or less. Adding seafoam simply added another 20 or so oz. of liquid so it had more gas so it will go again for a while before needing to be on reserve or filling up the tank.

The other issue seems to be a bad battery. There are many threads on bad batteries, charging and how to do the basic test with your handy-dandy volt meter.

My advice to anyone with battery issues is this: AGM battery. Don't **** with it, get that leaky refillable nonsense out of your bike and never look back. This eliminates the battery from the equation. Then get a proper battery tender. There's an aptly named product called "Battery Tender" out there, and the smaller "Battery Tender Jr" is perfect for the job.

You may want to pull out your spark plugs, then clean them and check their gap. Cheap insurance that a lousy plug isn't the culprit. Cleaning the carbs helps out with with it being cold-blooded, but in the end it's still using carbs and still needs to run on choke for a few minutes to warm up.

It was a battery problem. However when i bogged out, that was just me running out of gas. Then when i hit the ignition the battery was dead. Both problems werent related. I just have luck like that. Lol
