Hi,

I am getting a friends bike back up in running order after sitting for three years and I was curious to know if anyone is familiar with this bike. THe problem i am having is that fuel is constantly pouring out of, what i think is the carb overflow lines(it was one line coming out of the top of each carb that joined at a T fitting and then left the T fitting in a single line that simply dumped between the V of the motor), when the bike is running. its not a small amount either, I filled up a half gallon pail in about 5 minutes of running. Also i plugged the overflow line with a 1/4" socket extension and when i did that the bike would no longer run. Is this supposed to be a recir line that goes back to the fuel pump or something?

The carbs seem nearly the same as the GS carbs in terms of function.

This bike has a fuel pump, im curious if this might be a side effect of the fuel pump running to hard or not shuting off when the bowls are full or something. There was no fuel spewing out around the needle jets when i had the air box off.

Any idea what the issue might be?

Thanks
