Make friends with your neighbour, and go out over the back fence  :woohoo:

if your neighbour is female ... offer to 'cut the grass'  ;)

thats how i get to work in that distance. driveway/road is a half mile give or take. so same trip would be 3/4 mile there. i walk out cut across yard, through/into woods, then up church drive onto road which goes directly there. or take the motorised bike when its up and running or the regular bike. no need for motorised vehicles really. home is a half mile from groceries, same for fuel. this is in a city without mass transit. unless one is disabled.

SAFE-T

No more commuting for me. Service job so I drive from location to location in truck.

Once a month or so I get a midday break and grab the bike and go ride over and have lunch with my wife. A couple of times I took her bike and a change of clothes for her so she could ride home after work :)
