This is a long-shot, but here goes.

I've a factory GS500E fairing that I'd like to install. To install this part, there are special bolts that are used on the headlight assembly... they hold the headlight bucket onto the horns but also have internal threads in the bolt head to accept the screw that holds on the fairing.

My bike had these but PO ground them off flat. They show discontinued on Bike Bandit. So I'm looking for a used set, in lieu of having to machine up something.

Anyone got a pair they're willing to part with? PM or post back if so, thanks!

They are not a Suzuki part.
google "Metric threaded standoff"
It is a very common fastener/standoff

Just get the right size. Not home (busy dropping my bikes in gravel) so I can't give the exact size. I could later tonight. I have a new one in the box. Now if I can find that fuse box I'm supposed to be using. :dunno_black:

PS: There is a similar part called a "hex jack screw"

NOTE: The links are just to examples. You need to google to find the company with the correct size. It may be easier to find a non-metric part. Since it is all a new assembly, you can use whatever makes it work.

There we go. I could also use a metric standoff nut and some metric all-thread to make the same. So... a trip to the hardware store is in order.

If you can measure the standoff distance for me I'd appreciate it... will save me trying to get a usable measurement off the bike's parts.
