ive been doing much research on here pertaining to brake/clutch levers. but i want to make sure im on the right track so can you guys double check me based on your knowledge?

heres what i want to get for my 2007 gs500f:

http://www.motosport.com/motorcycle/2007-suzuki-sv650--ASV-C5-SPORTBIKE-BRAKE-AND-CLUTCH-LEVER-KIT

i understand that the brake lever is compatable between the sv650 and my bike. i also understand that to get the clutch lever to work i would need to get the sv650 perch and cable.

am i correct?

thanks, i know this has been discussed ad naseum

From personal experience, there IS a difference between the high price levers and the knock-offs.
To some people they may not notice.
I really prefer the ASV or LSL levers for the feel on the hand and the feel of how they operate.
I have bought a couple sets of knock-offs and took them back off after trying  them for a couple weeks.
This is just my opinion. I am speaking from experience.
There are good knock-offs.
And for OEM levers, I doubt it is hard to beat Motion-Pro for price and quality.

I prefer the expensive ones. Maybe it is knowing they are better. Maybe part is the pride of having the best levers (even if only 10% better than the knock-offs). maybe part is knowing that when others see my bikes they know I have top quality parts. maybe I WANT top quality because I really love my bikes.

Remember - your bike is your bike. Buy what you want for whatever reason you have. Listen to others. Look at alternatives. In the end - buy what you want even if it is the most expensive or the cheapest.

Buy whatever makes you proud of your bike and makes your bike happy.
