Finally a new exhaust - Now to jet?

I've finally gotten around to fitting a Yoshimura Slip-on system onto my bike. The bike seems to run fine except the idle is quite rough and sometime it seems to bog down in the mid range. The air/fuel screw is currently set to 3 screw turns.

Do I need to rejet with just a slip-on exhaust?

Oftentimes the bike will run ok without, but it's certainly best to rejet when you change the intake/exhaust components.

Does your bike have a non-stock air filter? e.g. K&N drop-in or lunchbox/pods.

The stock bike is jetted lean from the factory; and a less restrictive exhaust or air filter will result in the bike running even leaner (with the jetting unchanged).  In other words, changing one or the other the bike will probably run ok without a rejet; but changing both you really need to rejet.  Heck it's even advantageous to rejet with the stock filter/exhaust.

I already put in a K&N drop-in and did a rejet with +5 sizes on the main.  I'll be getting a Yosh slip-on here shortly, so I'll probably try a larger main to see if I can get some more pull out of it.

+1 radodrill ...
We rejet a stock bike ...
Now the pipe itself after rejetting a stock bike is a very small change, you could get it sorted by minor adjustments (turns on air screws and washer under needle etc) ...
So you now are wading a little deeper into the "needing rejet" pool ...
Cool.
