Got my first bike gs500f 2004.  Took a sharp right corner at night and clipped a 1 inch median that appeared mid turn when my headlight hit it is when i was when i saw it.

Went down on the right side and didnt even hit that hard (only going 20) but it was enough to bend my forks. I'm open to all options in fork swaps.

Cant find new forks to save my life and WILL NOT pay oem prices! haha

Can anyone help me out please?

Also I'd like to lower my bike a bit if possible and loosen up the suspension to absorb the bumbs better ( i weight about 150 when i ride)

Thanks ahead of time guys, I'm dying to get my bike back on the road.

It would help if you stated where in the world you are?
I am not interested in anything you have to say
Don't bother talking to me, I will not answer you

I would post in the "For sale / want to buy" section. I'm sure there's plenty of people here that have some forks.

And as a side note, I recommend not lowering the bike unless you have a short inseam.

Only going 20 or under with little other damage? ... Its possible you just twisted your forks in the clamps, or bent your handlebars.  Be sure that neither of these is the culprit before purchasing anything.

If your forks are twisted in the clamps, most folks get them snap back into place by loosening them up.  If your handlebars are bent, bend them back or buy a set in the For Sale section here on the forum.

Good Luck with getting her back on the road!

Edit: We need pics here!  This could save you a lot if someone catches something by photos!

Finding a decent used set will be hard,  but how bent are they?

There are conpanies and individuals who can straighten them..... assuming the damage is not severe,

Example.........http://www.pittedforks.co.uk/fork-straightening.php

You just need to find someone local and let them take a look.
