Iridium Plugs

So they boast increased power, throttle response and increased fuel economy.

I picked up a pair for $14 shipped so I'm not overly concerned about "is it worth it?"

What I would like to know is what real world results you guys have noticed/seen (if any) with iridium plugs.

Really though, iridium plugs benefit is .. long life.....they more than pay for themselves over time.

Not expecting major things and there not the end all of my "performance" plans. It's one part of the puzzle that I'm hoping will contribute to performance gains.

Eliminate misfiring by upgrading to Iridium spark plugs

"What does size have to do with it? Less voltage is required for a smaller center electrode and results in better ignitability. The smaller the electrode, the more centralized the electrical potential is around the electrode tip. The required voltage can be reduced because the level of the electric field is made stronger and local insulation (air gap and electrode surface oxidation) breaks down more easily. The bottom line is that it takes approximately 5,000 volts less to fire a Denso/ANY Iridium Power spark plug versus a conventional platinum spark plug."

And while we are talking about spark plugs...the HARDEST TASK any plug will encounter is WFO opperation OFF AN IDLE, not running at 14,000 Rpm's. High Cylinder Pressures/Load will make a plug misfire and the highest cylinder pressures (the Average Joe) will encounter is...pegging it from an idle.

Well for the price I'm not concerned. I was just curious and looking for info from anyone who uses them. Again reiterating my previous point I think when these things are combined and used together they have optimum results.

The Brisk site does have dyno graphs of how their ring fire plugs do improve performance.
Think about it - if you have a better spark you will have better ignition of the fuel and better performance.
You know that fouled plugs have poor spark and poorer performance. So doesn't it make sense that better spark gives better performance? If that were not the case, why would you ever worry about poor spark from old or dirty plugs?
They've done the dyno charts on the Brisk plugs .vs. regular plugs.

Just researched the brisk plugs, they seem to be pretty sweet. Unfortunately I already ordered my iridium

Here's what you do:
1. You have Iridium on the way
2. Order a pair of Brisk
3. Try each for a week

Now...
a) If you like the Brisk as do all of us that have tried them, sell the iridium's to the die hards that don't believe there is any difference in spark plugs.
b) If for some reason you do not like the Brisk, then I'll buy them off of you or someone else will that wants to use them.

Then you can say you've tried both and can report the difference.
