This one has been great for me. I can pack a ton of stuff in it.
Unfortunately it looks like it's sold out for now. :(

I use a Dowco Fastrax elite tank bag

Works well enough for me, I don't have a bladder in it, so can't comment on the hydration part, and it's not any good to put a widescreen gps in the "device" pocket, unless you like looking at the tank.

It holds plenty, and can "match" any bike.

So as an update to this, I had bought a Cortech 2.0 18L bag.

It was very nice but for 18L and expandable, IMO, it was very small. My Alpinestars MX-5 boots wouldnt even fit in them. So I sent it back and ordered an Alpinestars Areo Tech bag.

I will post pics once it gets here

Well, if anyone is interested. I have a Nelson Rigg magnetic bag, bought it new in 2003 when I bought my 2003 Suzuki DL1000 (dealer gave me 25% off any/all accessories they had in stock) They had bags costing 3x as much that didn't fit the shape of the tank anywhere near as well as the Nelson Rigg, I tried them all. I think I paid around $30 for it

The DL had a somewhat unusual shaped tank, more so than the GS I think.

This used one on Ebay looks to be the same model as mine:

I imagine it has been discontinued...that'd be about right. When they get something spot on, it's time to change it!
Ha! Looks like my conjecture might even be true! this one is nearly identical to mine it says "no longer available".

The only difference between this one and the one on EBay (and mine) is the graphics on the side

Anyway, the bag fits the GS very well. Honestly, Couldn't be better. It stays put, period. It is expandable, which is nice. It has the usual map pocket, rain cover etc. I used to have an Eclipse tank bag years ago that was not magnetic. What a pain in the Arse by comparison! I was always futzing around with that damn bag. I found this one, brought back unpleasant memories. (mostly of the bikes involved, dealer/warranty nightmare, two in a row)  that was when I had the 84 R80ST, and before that, an 83 Honda V45 Sabre.

To be fair, the tank on the Bimmer was on the skinny side, maybe that was the biggest problem. Sorry, lots of years between then and now, I rambles a bit. "Digression-R-Us" It's the weather, getting cabin fever, I wish it'd snow!

Yeah, IMHOFO Nelson Rigg stuff frikkin *rocks*, it just  lacks "snob appeal"  otherwise offers lotta bang for the buck or at least it used to. My saddlebags gotta be at least twice as old as the tank bag and still holding up great.

Otay, I shut up now!
