YES you got it!! It's the water basin for my ancient Rainbow vacuum. When I bought my house a friend of mine gave it to me, complete with Aqua-Mate carpet cleaner, fancy attachments and all the paperwork. I glanced at the original receipt and holy balls this thing cost $1900+ and was bought back in the late 80's !!  :icon_eek:  Works pretty good still  ;)

Ahhh! ... the infamous "jobber-whatsit module" .... happy to say I've never seen one of them ever! ;)

axexandru

Sorry Janx, I don't have anything else around here at work, but it is a module :D :) so you are right, but what kind of module?

If nobody else have a more specific answer, it's yours.

Wait a sec, I SAID Rainbow water pan!  >:( :flipoff:

Oh well, on to other things....
Dual ethernet connector/splitter?

ShowBizWolf

Awe man Elmojo I am really sorry... I thought you only guessed middle and top.  The water basin is the very bottom of the Rainbow vac, that's why I said you were close but not spot on.

Elmojo

Ah, I did actually say top, sorry!
I see what you mean, it was very close, not not quite the right part.

Ok, so what the heck is this new thing....? :dunno_black:

Looks like something hot-swappable.  Thinking server...

Is it an ethernet switch?

It is FOR an ethernet switch , and it is a connector, not a dual one. What kind of connector?

nope, for what type of media?

Elmojo

RJ11 (telephone) line filter?
I'm guessing the 2 ports maybe be IN and OUT, since you said it's not a "dual" anything.

Cool! I made this a couple years ago, so it's a little bit.... weathered. I'm sure somebody will guess what it is rather quickly.

Is it for sucking out exhaust fumes so you can work on the bike in the garage with the door (mostly) closed?  In which case the tube is snaked in there just for storage?

You're on the right track Watcher, but no. Not for exhaust fumes.
