If you can afford it, get a lawyer to make some phone calls.

One time, I got pulled over going 90 in a 65.  It was a misdemeanor in the 4th degree...a hefty citation here in Ohio.  Minimum 6 points, possible license suspended.

Called a lawyer, he made some calls, and I got out of it.  Cost me $100.

Well. We'll see if I can get out of it the old fashioned way. It's not like it's a felony or anything. It's akin to getting a ticket for having your headlight out. I'll say I didn't know it was under the limit, which I didn't, and show pictures of before and after I remove it and be humble.
