Does anyone know if this will fit on a GS and maybe move the sprocket out enough so we don't have to shim it?

Good question being I have a complete Kat rear well out in the shop.

I just accidentally picked up my Kat wheel off ebay, 65+shipping.

Guy had it for 105 and I was like hmmm he will never take 65 but might offer me like 75.

10 mins later, I get an email saying I won... I should have offered 50....

I did the same thing the other day. Picked up a clean Kat wheel with rotor for $75 shipped. I needed new tires so, of course, I checked out the wiki and somehow that lead to looking around eBay to see how much a Kat wheel would run me.

Depends on what you want to do. The Katanas run 530 chains and sprockets so.... the cush drive may work but you might as well use yours considering you would have to swap the sprockets of the drives...

I was just wondering if the Kat cush drive sprocket mount was a bit further out than the GS. Keep you from having to use shims under the sprocket which I am not a fan of doing.

Small shims? I dont see being an issue. Shimming a lot I would not want to do.

sounds good, now was that with a 160 tire or a 150? I cant decide what to get... Wish tire sizes were truly 160 when they say 160.

Good questions because I have a set of Metzeler Sportec M-1 waiting to go on.

On a side note though, check those wheel bearings because those that came with my front rim are good but those in my rear rim were totally frozen.

dgyver

The Kat sprocket carrier is about 15mm wider than the GS.
Common sense in not very common.
