I have found two shocks on ebay:
katana 750
http://www.ebay.com/itm/REAR-SHOCK-ABSORBER-SUZUKI-GSX750F-KATANA-62100-20C02-/300712158846?hash=item4603d7667e&item=300712158846&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr

and katan 600:

As a tall rider I would like the shock that raises the height the most, so I assume that would be the 750. But i have read that the 750 is harder to install and could require changes to the chain.

Just double checking before I finally buy the shock.

Thanks

Have you looked at the SV650 shock? I installed one on my bike and it raised it so much I had to remove it :)

I have read a little about the sv650. From what i have seen the height increase by the sv650 can become a problem and i dont have the tools to be able to cut the shock to fit properly. I was looking more for a simple bolt-in shock option since i dont have a lot of experience in working on this bike.

I did not have to cut the shock in any way. Straight swap and height increase by about 2 inches.
I have a thread somewhere around here with pics?
Couldnt find the thread or pics but heres an upload on youtube showing the shock installed

I like the look of the white shock. Im guessing that either the white or yellow shock will fit, did the ride improve after installing?
Thanks for the help

Just bought a 2004 SV650 shock spring for $30. After reading more it sounds like a good fit for me since what i really want is a taller bike, ill post again after i install it. Thanks again for the help

The SV650 shock improved the ride exponentially BUT It made the centre stand all but useless hence the removing it later on. Other than that It was bloody fantastic.
