Go you!

I wish they required some form of this testing in the USA. Would keep a lot of squid off of the road.

I don't see how any kind of testing would keep the squid off the road.

Easy, if you can't ride, you can't get a license. Than, all it takes is for a cop to have reasonable suspicion of an idiot rider, pull them over, and impound the vehicle.

Well it's been a long time but I'm sure Ohio has some sort of driving test to get a motorcycle endorsement on you driver license. That will not stop crazies from taking to the road clad in shorts, flip-flops, tank top, and doing wheelies down the highway. Just gotta be good while they're watching :o

A blindfolded 12 year old on a road king could pass these tests.

What?! MSF cost $250?

... In my area, the course costs $20 to hold your seat, and you can choose to donate it at the end, or have it returned to you... so it can potentially be 'free'

$250 is what I had to pay, granted I took it at the Harley Dealership due to ALL classes being full 6 months in advance. Everywhere else is $150. Not only was it a waste of money, but now I get stupid ass mailings and emails from HOG.
Friendly fire, isn't. But it's the most accurate. Semper Fi

Where i live $250 is the cheapest and they are always booked.

BockinBboy

Wow, I guess the areas around me are well funded.

The one I took at the U of I, was the $20 dollar deposit with optional refund or donate I mentioned.  But there are others around my area... another that costs $25 with a similar refund or donate option.

The one I took is linked below.

For once I'm glad to say I live in Pennsylvania! MSF course is FREE! The only requirement is you need to have a valid permit!
I took the course and am glad I did!

Cheers! :D

illinois' is sponsored by the illinois department of transportation, thats why its so cheap/free to take. Other states don't receive state funding for the course.

Huff1371

Whwtever you decide. I can't say enough times "Stay away from a dealership". They add in a day that you get to learn the inner working of a dealership (sounds good) but is just a poor sales ploy.

You guys in the states have it easy, cheapest Ontario equivalent to the MSF within 2 hours of me is $450!

But that does take you from your M1 (written) to M2(full license but zero alcohol) without having to go to the DMV and do a roadtest.

Is that a course local to you, or is it in most states?  If PA has it, my son will be thrilled to learn he's doing it.  :icon_twisted:
