7500 miles
Prior Owner had it since early 2000's and only put on 2500 miles ~250 a year

Brand new BT45 rear tire.

Will start but wont idle too long.

Figure I need to dig in to the forum here and do a carb rebuild, Valve adjust, Oil and Filter Change, Carb Sync, Gas flush and fill, Chain clean and lube, Front tire replace, and possible new battery. Adust brake and throttle cables or check adjustment.

From that point any other suggestions? I will probably get started on this this weekend.

Thanks for any tips everyone.

*Hitch Rack is not bent, must have been the angle and camera phone.

Yeah thanks guys I had no idea they made an orange. I have been riding bikes since about 6 years old but never owned a street dedicated bike, its always been enduros or street legal dual sports. I came across a GS last year after looking for a clean SV650. since then I have been keeping an eye on both, but truthfully the GS were less to but and insure.

I had came across a few quality bikes but timing, etc prohibited me. This one I lucked across as it was out of the range I had been searching, spoke to the guy and he seemed honest, I liked the history since it didn't just sit the whole time and finally the color was nice.

My cousin (35) who just passed from leukemia (diagnosed in June) had been building an orange zx14 for a few year's, as it was his favorite color, it also happened to be the leukemia color. So this combo worked out well as I plan on going to some benefits next year with some family and his bike, it should fit in well.

It really is clean I noticed a little oil on it but need to clean it up and see if it were just grime or if there is a small leak somewhere. I get the joy of going out today in 30 degree temps to wash it quick. it has salt and grime on it from the ride home.

Washed it earlier today came out pretty good, not as clean as I will have it in the summer but it was below 30 degrees so I did what I could to get the salt, etc off from the ride home last night.

I have that exhaust on my bike.  It isn't super loud or anything, but sounds pretty mean....especially at higher RPM.  Pretty quiet at idle and lower rpms, which is nice for leaving for work early in the morning and not waking up the neighbors.
