Been on and off the fence about this for some time. Anyone got one or have any pics/links to any?

I personally think stretched bikes look ridiculous.  I can't see it being useful for anything except a drag bike.  That being said, don't let me rain on your parade.

That's cool. I don't like limo stretched bikes but a few inches is nice. I kept a swingarm from the last bike I parted out just incase I decided to do it but can't really decide

I'm guessing someone around here might be good enough with photoshop/gimp/etc to mock it up for us. I'd be interested to see it, but not interested enough to do it to mine.
It seems it has become necessary to qualify my posts:

There is one in the last few links of the thread for Craigslist finds. I messaged the owner and asked for a pics of the swingarm specifically but got far away shots of the bike :(

Weedahoe, there is somebody here that stretched their swinger.....I remember seeing it a while ago though.

And take into consideration the added leverage on the rear suspension - the extra length to the wheel will make the rear end EXTREMELY soft.

I thought I had seen it also but couldn't find it. With the adjustable R6 shock, I'm sure it could be compensated. IDK. I might do and I might now. I kinda want too but then I don't. As some point I have to quit dropping money into it and what you see in my signature adds up to a drop in the bucket compared to the new paint (candy), the chrome rims and my new lights. I have a bad habit of investing too much. All my rides have been the same and although I say I won't do it again, I always do.

Servus,

no problem with streched GS 500! Every bike from me have a longer Swingarm.

Here a pic from the newest one:

Hey Jim. I was actually going to PM you and ask for pics. Why the support bars under the swingarm? Reduce flex?

Here is a video of the stretched and turbo'd GS at the drag strip vs. a GSXR 750.  Pretty sure he still loses, but it does look impressive for a GS500.  I wish I knew what ET and mph he pulled.

Thanks. I had seen that before. Rebel Rocket beat you to the posting of it though ;)

Too bad the guy on YouTube isn't more active

Servus,

the beams on the swingarm are used to stabilize and I like it better than just a naked arm.
I did not get a PM from you, unfortunately.

@average: The rocker of Seamax is from me and is completely made of steel. I prefer to hold the aluminum swingarm.
