So I bought my Suzuki from craigslist, yea I know bad idea but it was all I can afford. anyhow i have the bike running oK'ish it runs like very well when it is above 3, 4k rpm and it can only idle that high is the problem. I have to balance the choke along with setting the idle screw to get that okish really high idle. And yes i am aware that having it idle that high is extremely bad and bad for it. my question is what all can i do to fix this. ive taken the carb out and cleaned the bowls, needles, butterfly's, and ect. i have replaced to fuel lines with brand new fresh ones the petcocks are all clean. my gas tank is clean and filled with premium. I think i need to mess with the mixure screws. Ill set them both to default and see how she runs. if you guys have any tips or suggestions I'd really appreciate the help :) Ill post pics if wanted

Welcome to the insane asylum.

Here, we ALWAYS want pictures. We live for pictures. The more the better.

CL is not bad. I've bought 2 really good GS's ($1000 and $1100), one OK one ($1200) and a couple parts bikes - one for $100 with gauge bracket and 89 clip ons alone that will pat for it and the motor runs.

Mixture might be a problem as well as syncing the carbs. Look at both plugs to insure both cylinders are firing. Then go for a stock adjustment on the mixture screws. If they are not covered, then you know they have been fiddled with. Adjust both the same. You might start with 2 1/2 turns out. Then 3. Then 3 1/2.

The choke richens it up. If choke makes it run, then it could be lean and turning mixture screws out will ritchen it up. (I do have long mixture screws for sale so you don't have to use a screw driver http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=62669.msg733583#msg733583 ).
