assume we're talking F model GS.  if so the F model mirrors interchange with the Bandit and many Bandit owners buy blocks to place under the base of the mirror at the fairing to extend the mirrors out for more visibility.  not sure if that is the answer you're after.

The link below is the only thing I have specifically read about it, and it requires drilling.

I'd check out bar end mirrors if I were you. They make it so you can see behind you very well. In fact, I have some on the bike I'm selling now, so here's a pic of what a GS500F looks like with them. And the best part is you don't have to worry about compatibility! Just make sure you get a pair for 7/8" handlebars. Should run you about $20 on ebay including shipping from the USA.

Now what did you mean by flush mount mirrors? Did you mean flush mount turn signals?

+1 on bar ends. Cheapo black ones can be had on ebay. I got two sets so when one set broke (garage mishap) I had another to slap on. Smaller mirror but larger field of vision due to convex shape. Plus, they keep your front field of vision uncluttered, IMO.

what I meant was that eventually I will be adding flush mount turn signals therefore I wanted mirrors with signals (more visibility)

Just my 2 cents, flush mount turn signals are suicide. Cars in front of you and especially behind can't see them flashing. You might as well just not have turn signals. I had some years ago for about 3 months until a riding buddy of mine said he couldn't tell if I was signaling (since we sometimes rode and just followed each other on random trips).

If you truly, absolutely must get rid of your stock signals, I'd recommend LED strips that attach pretty much anywhere you want. For the rear, I've seen people mount them to the rear passenger pegs, which is a good visible spot. For the front, I'd go with your mirror/signal combo idea.

Also, if you have any problems finding compatibility of the mirror/signal combo for a gs500, just send me a message with the ebay ones you're looking at (I'm on ebay all the time as both a seller & buyer anyways). I'll do some measuring with calipers and see if I can't confirm compatibility for you. Heck, I actually have a pair of 04/05 gsxr mirrors on me and still have my 2005 GS500F I'm trying to sell. I can always just see if they match up. I'll forget though, so send me a message or something.
