I cut it off my '09 F to install a slip on.  It has about 31xx miles on it.  If you're interested, please throw me a reasonable offer.  It has minor scuffs from previous owner but no dents.  I can offer up a shipping quote to your location as needed.  I live in BC if that matters.  Thanks for looking.

Another Canadian, eh?
We been getting a few from BC here lately.

Someday maybe the BC'rs can go halfway and meet some Seattleites in Bellingham for a ride? (and bring some of those good Canadian aspirin - you know what I mean.)

How much do you suppose it would be to ship to Zip code 30039 (Atlanta GA area)
Nice looking muffler! Nice weld!

Anybody need a stock muffler from a TL1000R or "S" model?

I've got FOUR of them! (embarrassed)
I also have the stock plastic belly pan for Suzuki DL1000

Sounds like a cool idea! You referring to those killer 222s?  Sometimes codeine is just the ticket :thumb:

Looks like it will cost $45.xx to ship to your zip code. Let me know if you're still interested.

Some of each?
The aspirin in  the UK are good: aspirin, coding and no caffeine. Haven't had those for a long time.

I appreciate the follow-up on that "Scoz" but I'm afraid that would make any kind of deal prohibitively expensive.

I had my eye on a real nice stock system for a while, but truth be known I probably like the sound of what I have now too much to part with it. A previous owner had some sort of "universal fit" automotive "shorty" muffler welded on (the weld is butt ugly, but at least it's solid)
Here's a short, characteristically sloppy video I took of the bike running that gives a reasonable likeness of the sound. You can even hear the loose exhaust valve ticking it's little heart out if your listen closely enough!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTL6YmucKGw

The PO also stated that the carbs had been re-jetted....not! That was easy enough to determine...the bowl screws had never been loosened. I did the washer/slide needle lift on it,  turned the idle mixture screws out a bit. That along with a good cleaning and synch, was all it needed. 100% improvement in running, didn't cost a dime! It would pop and spit pretty loudly on deceleration but disabling the PAIR system got rid of that. That trick worked equally well on the DL.

I even have a short clip of my beloved old DL running out in the garage during the Great Snow Storm of 2011. It had "custom mufflers" on it. Read: the baffles were drilled out and a section of appropriate diameter "black pipe" was shoved down the middle of each muffler! I liked the way it sounded a great deal. Mind you, in this video it was started dead cold and had not been started or ridden in quite some time!

Ooops...Scoz, I'm dreadful sorry Sir for highjacking your thread!!! If I can make it up to you, just name your price! (ok, maybe not all *that* :-)

You have any pictures of the new pipe set up? Sound clip perhaps? I'd love to see/hear it!

Regards,
Hube

Yeah, I hear ya.  Its a big heavy piece so I thought it might be too much to ship.

That auto can on your GS is interesting.  Its better sounding than I thought it might be by your description.  I can definitely see why your interested in replacing it though ;)

Ill try to post some sound clips over the weekend.  FYI, its a Yoshimura TRS slip-on.  Im sure quite a few people around here have the same one.  It sounds a little throatier and less like a sewing machine as the stock system with a bit more volume to boot.  Its got a slight burble on deceleration that is addictive.  Overall a wicked sounding muffler.

Deal!

You interested in this muffler by any chance?  I've read quite a few threads on this great forum and know you to be quite the parts warehouse keeper. :D

I have a few complete stock muffler systems. I can always hold on tio it until someone needs it. I do have storage space.
It looks good. I have some pipes that could be cut and fasten it to them. A couple I have are crap mufflers but good pipes.

Let me know when you want to south of your border.

Someone with a trashed muffler should snatch it up. If down here, postage would be less to USA members.

I know this post is getting old but thought I'd give it one more shot.  I'm willing to let the muffler go for a screaming deal. Just sitting in the box collecting dust...

Scoz

Bump!  Its been a long while but really want to get this damn thing out of my house!  Willing to part for super cheap.

If you ever know of someone coming down to SEA, I'd hold it for one of the projects. Someone can use it. We have some crappy mufflers but the pipes are good so we could make an OEM slip on.

Thanks!  I was hoping to go down there this summer but work got in the way of course.  Ill keep it in mind though.
