New foot pegs!

I finally got stupid tired of the big, bulky, ugly, rubber foot pegs that come on the GS stock  :2guns: After I saw in the wiki about how to go about replacing them with good ones, I bought new ones right away, using the search criteria that is stated in the wiki. Anyways, install went very smooth, had to grind one down to make it fit, but after I finished that one, my buddy just flipped one over and it fit perfect with no modifications... So my advice is try test fitting the pegs upside down and right side up before doing any grinding, might save a little time!

And since all threads are worthless without pics, here's mine  :woohoo:

I'm still waiting on the lefts side pic to come in, but here's the right side

Nice! I dont understand what you were trying to say by flipping them over they fit without grinding, you mean like you used the left one for the right one?

Nice!  I got some of these from someone on the forum, sorry I forgot who, and I like them too.  Much better than the ogre club style stock gs pegs.

Lol.... I had 2 pair of black ones just like those I was giving away a few months back. I changed them out to chrome ones. They have been great pegs though

I just picked up a pair of these as well. Haven't mounted them yet. I think he is referring to the mount point. On those type of pegs, atleast the ones I have, the mount is bolted to the peg and can be flipped around or taken off. I hope thats what he means, if so, I'm installing mine tonight.

They are easy to install, you shouldnt have any issues

I had a pair of these installed but they were just too short. felt like I could only get half my boot on them.

By flipping them over, I mean the mounting point. The peg itself has an allen head inside the bottom of the peg so you can loosen it to turn the peg on the mounting hole. I ground down the first one, then just went and flipped the other one over, and turned the foot peg of it around and it was no mod necessary then.

I'll take a pic if it makes more sense that way

I believe what he is saying is that the peg and the tang are two separate pieces, that the tang fits on upside-down without grinding, and that you are able to reassemble and install the peg with the tang upside down and have it function properly.

Would that affect the pegs ability to fold up though?

Not at all, they fold up either way.

The peg and the mounting piece are 2 separate pieces. The peg is held on by an allen head bolt. So you can loosen the bolt and then rotate the peg to sit just how you want it. The mounting piece can be put on upside down to fit with no modification, then you can rotate the peg itself 180 degrees to have the top of it sit properly
